Introduction
PRÆY is the personal website for a writer and filmmaker
- Went Live: March 25 2022
- Problem statement: Create a personal website to be a place for the work the client does
- Goal: Make the site better represent the client and what they do. Make it their site, not just a site.

Research
A good deal of this project was spent in finding a CMS that would power the site’s content. Contentful was the final decision.
Working On the Design
The project happened a bit faster thanks to Tapiwa supplying a design for the site:

Once the nitty gritties were dealt with, it was time to build the site. Taking advantage of Next.js and Tailwind, the process happened relatively smoothly.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenges
- How to structure the articles (Stories at the Hearth) section of the site.
- Having next and previos links for the articles.
Proposed Solutions
- Futher divide the articles by category, then add a blurb on each category.
- The solution came from a project done by whitep4nth3r and some collaborators
Lessons Learnt
Having a clear line of communication with the people you are working with helps in ensuring that the work goes smoothly.
Conclusion
PRÆY was a fun site to build as it didn’t follow a lot of the ‘site conventions’ most site go by. Most importantly, the client was happy with the work.
